Expressions of Interest are now open for the Defence and Veterans’ Service Commissioner’s Advisory Group, closing on Friday, 20 March 2026.
The Acting Defence and Veterans’ Service Commissioner invites people with diverse experience to express their interest in joining the Commissioner’s Advisory Group.
We are seeking applications from both suitably qualified professionals with specialist or technical expertise and professional experience, and individuals or family members with lived experience of suicidality, mental health and wellbeing in the Defence and veteran ecosystem.
The Group will provide first-hand advice to the Acting Commissioner on the DVSC’s independent oversight functions to drive improvements in suicide prevention and wellbeing outcomes for serving and ex-serving ADF members. Participants will be remunerated for their participation in the Group.

The term of appointment to the Group will be two years from commencement.
