Annual Report
Every twelve months, the Commissioner will prepare and publish an Annual Report. This report will detail the DVSC’s outcomes and performance results for each financial year. DVSC Annual Reports will be tabled in the Australian Parliament and published on this website.

Corporate Plan
The DVSC’s Corporate Plan is an annual publication, covering the DVSC’s purpose, priorities, operating context, key activities, and performance measures over a four-year period.
The DVSC's first Corporate Plan is required to be published prior to 30 June 2026. This is in accordance with section 35 of the PGPA Act and sections 16E(1) and 16E(7) of the PGPA Rule.

Reports from Inquiries into the implementation of the Government's response to the recommendations of the Royal Commission
The Defence and Veterans’ Service Commissioner must conduct at least two inquiries into the Commonwealth’s implementation of the Government’s response to the recommendations of the Defence and Veteran Suicide Royal Commission.
These inquiries must evaluate implementation of the Government’s response to the recommendations of the Royal Commission into Defence and Veteran Suicide. This includes:
- the measures and actions taken by the Commonwealth to implement the response, and
- the effectiveness of those measures and actions in implementing the Government’s response.
The first inquiry must be completed on or before 5 February 2027. The second inquiry must be completed on or before 2 December 2030. The reports must be given to the Minister. They must then be published and tabled in each House of the Australian Parliament within 15 sitting days of that House.

Reports from Commissioner's own motion Inquiries
The Commissioner can inquire into and report on matters relating to suicide prevention or wellbeing outcomes for Defence members and veterans. These reports may be published on the Commission’s website. They may also be given to the Minister and tabled in the Australian Parliament or given to any other person or body the Commissioner considers appropriate.
Own Motion Inquiry reports will outline:
- the Commissioner’s findings,
- the evidence on which those findings are based,
- any recommendations, and
- any responses from Commonwealth entities.
Reports from Inquiries requested by the Minister
The Minister may request the Commissioner inquire into a matter relating to suicide prevention or wellbeing outcomes for Defence members and veterans. The Commissioner must comply with the request.
These reports must be:
- given to the Minister and any Commonwealth entity or person requested to take action under any recommendations,
- tabled in the Australian Parliament, and
- published on the Commission’s website.
These reports will outline:
- the Commissioner’s findings,
- the evidence on which those findings are based,
- any recommendations, and
- any responses from Commonwealth entities.
